On 5 May 2017 at St John’s Smith Square David Cohen will give the London premieres of two works he has commissioned. As part of the continuing collaboration between The Royal Opera and Welsh National Opera Richard Ayres’s opera was recently seen in London following a successful tour of Keith Warner’s new production for WNO. Canadian tenor, Daniel Auchincloss, has recently joined the roster of Owen White Management. Based in the UK he has performed extensively with leading early music ensembles in both opera and concert. Piotr Lempa plays the title role in Hans Krása’s, Brundibár, which was first publicly performed by the children of Theresienstadt concentration camp in 1943. Frederick Wake-Walker’s production for the Mahogany Opera Group was first seen at the Jubilee Hall in Aldeburgh in November 2014 followed by performances at London’s South Bank.
